Produced and hosted by our Artistic Director Angela Hang, Move Beyond is an online series following notable dancers in Hong Kong. By documenting their daily practice, classes they teach, rehearsals for performances and competitions, as well as personal interviews, the programme explores the various dance styles – genres still considered as a subculture in Hong Kong – and offers the audience insights into ways the dancers express their emotions and perceptions through their bodies and dance styles. At the same time, they will have glimpses of the dancers’ personal stories, their bittersweet life experiences and how, despite many difficulties and challenges in their artistic journeys, they persist in pursuing their dreams.

Conducted in Cantonese with Chinese subtitles.

The programme is in 6 episodes, each approximately 15 minutes long.
